Our Creative Journey

At Break Your Art, we celebrate the bold and beautiful world of glass mosaics. Founded by Charleston native Sonya Sterling, our studio reflects over two decades of artistry and design. Sonya’s vibrant mosaics have transformed more than 40 restaurants, including Lowcountry favorites like Vickery’s, Pearlz Oyster Bar, Liberty Tap Room, Tbonz steakhouse and many more. 

Her work at Liberty Tap Room & Grill even earned a spot on the big screen—featured in the hit HBO series The Righteous Gemstones starring Danny McBride and John Goodman. All of the stunning artwork seen in the restaurant scenes was created by Sonya herself.

Every piece Sonya creates is a blend of craftsmanship, color, and storytelling—designed to elevate spaces and spark conversation. From intimate homes to iconic restaurants, her work brings artistry to life, one glass tile at a time.
